Who is Edna Krabappel?

Edna Krabappel ("Krapabelle" in the French version) is the teacher of Bart's class at Springfield Elementary School, the one Milhouse, Martin and Nelson also attend. Once an idealist, she has become an embittered and cynical teacher, worn down by a lack of resources and her pupils' behavior. Her tic? A mocking laugh, "Ha!", delivered at the slightest opportunity.

The show gave her a final salute with the chalkboard gag "We'll really miss you Mrs. K". In the French version, Edna was voiced by Martine Meirhaeghe then Régine Teyssot.
